Seit über 40 Jahren beschäftigt sich Alec mit Gitarren und alles was dazu gehört.
Die erste Banderfahrung gab es schon mit 11 Jahren, Auftritte standen schon mit 12 an. Eine original Aufnahme, mit Ansage der Namen (und alter!) wird sorgfältig auf diversen Datenspeicher aufbewahrt.
Nebst der Bar und dem Hauptgeschäft Airxess GmbH, welches sein 30 jähriges bestehen feiert, kreiert und fertigt Alec auch Gitarren.
Umbauten, Service, Ankauf und Verkauf gehörten auch dazu. Gehörten, denn seit anfangs 2023 spielt Alec wieder in einer Band und bald sollen Gigs anstehen. Der Focus bleibt beim Gitarren anfertigen und natürlich im Hauptgeschäft, kreativ sein.
Auf dieser Seite werden ein paar Egenkreationen vorgestellt und diverses Material zum Verkauf angeboten.

Die Birrd US-Car Fin-Serie kann man nicht mit anderen Gitarren vergleichen. Es handelt sich um von Autos inspirierte Skulpturen, die das goldene Zeitalter der 50er und 60er Jahre widerspiegeln. Inspiriert wird Alec, wenn ein Cadillac, ein Chevrolet, ein Plymouth oder ein anderen Oldtimer durch die Strassen rollt.
Die Absicht bestand nicht darin, jedes Detail der Autos nachzubilden, aber der Kenner wird ein paar Details wahrnehmen.
Tonholz und andere Dinge, die für manche wichtig sind, sind bei diesen Projekten zweitrangig.

Birrd Belair
The very first "Birrd" Custom Guitar.
To be more precise, it's the "Birrd Belair" Travel Guitar.
We could bore you to death with technical details, but why should we? Just look at the picture. Closely. Even closer.
Right? You love it. It's like love at first sight, but unlike in real life, you can buy love.

Birrd Biarritz

The Birrd Biarritz is the third of our travel guitars and it's another homage to a US car tail fin like the Belair.
The legendary Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz was the inspiration to this model. More details have been augmented with this travel guitar to enhance the effect. During production, we changed the original color concept from white to red.
The great thing is, these models are so unique and unusual, but easy to play guitars. So they are not just for showing off.
Well, you can still show off.
Place this guitar where ever you want, everything around it looks a lot cooler

Birrd Belvedere White Edition

The similar looking, black Belvedere MO (Murdered Out) was produced in the shortest possible time, where as work on this Belvedere WE (white edition) was carried out down to the last detail.
Even the neck was painted very elaborately. A large Belvedere lettering is only visible from a certain angle. A special color was used for this.

Birrd Century Travel Guitar

Since this Buick Century diecast model has more served for the colors and not for the shape of the fin, the guitar will come in fancy gold, matt black, and flames created with a glossy finish. And if we would call this guitar Century, it would be a eponym.
Needless to say that you can already order this model. Not the car. Only the guitar. The car is not for sale. We're deeply sorry.
We decided to name it Century. It's a bad ass century craftmanship.
The building of it took much longer than the other Birrds because of the way of production. Only a rough scetch, not a detailed drawing as on the other builds was made and during production new ideas took place.
Needless to say that you can already order this model. Not the car. Only the guitar. The car is not for sale. We're deeply sorry.

We were super stoked to be a reseller of these very stylish, unique, and extremely innovative Swiss made guitars.
That has ended now. Relish has closed the doors.
They just shut down.
When it comes to guitars and innovations, the name Relish will be called out.
When it comes to 'how to destroy an extremely cool brand within months', the same name will be called again.
You heard about that super cool pickup swapping system where you have to have a lot of self-discipline, not swapping the pickups all day long just for the fun factor? That was the invention of the century in guitar production. Not totally new, but veery clever made.
Since the beginning, we at Birrd Guitars watched closely what these guys came up with. It was an eye catcher, not only visually but also technically. Alec is the owner of another company where innovations took place too. His interests in innovations is enormous.
When Relish got in contact for some cooperations, we said yes in an instant.
With the knowledge of today, was it a mistake? Absolutely not.
Building some Relish guitars in house, learning more about the innovation was worthy to go that path.
Still, to own such guitar, with a few pickup sets, means not only endless tones, you have a piece of Switzerland guitar history in your hand.
